I tried to set the displayvalue manually, although this should not be necessary because the control is bound to a property which is set correctly. Even then the displayvalue disappeard.

Then I realized that there may be a problem because the value of the controlsource is a numeric value. Now I create a workaround by creating a value that is a character value and this is working properly.

So it seems that you cannot use numeric values for comboboxes, even if the displayvalue is a character value?
