Of course my "users" will be programers, but programers do some mistakes too, which usually turn into bugs. If not well documented, I could even forget about my singleton class, discover it one year later again, and use it in the wrong way :-)
That's why other OO languages offer features like a protected constructor, or final methods than no one can redefine. Documentation is nice, but self-documentation is even better.
