actually it does but every time i go into the folder and uncheck read only it looks ok but then i close the properties window and bring it up again and the read only option is checked again. I have checked the dbf, dbc and associated files and they look ok.

>>hi all,
>>i have installed a demo web development on a customers machine. I had a few problems initially but i thought i got it working. first i installed iis on his machine, its an xp machine but i develop in 2k. then i copied over my directory structure with the website, its very basic at the moment. the website viewed fine, its asp. when i tried to view data from a dbf i got an error about ie not being able to view the database so i installed a newer version, but not the newest - think it is from VFP7, of the odbc driver and again that solved that problem. then i tried running some code that i have in a dll and it wouldn't update a table, it said that it couldn't update a read only cursor. the code is basic, use table1 alias table1 and then replace field with variable. i went over board with the user rights in windows giving full rights to both iusr and iwam just in case and in inetmgr i also gave the folder execute permissions but still nothing. can anyone point me in the right direction.
