if u are running Alpha with NT4.0 than to make sure VFP will run as good as possible check out FX!32 (it is available for free download and IMHO and inginious peace of code :)

this translates 32bit windows apps to alpha code transperantly and as the app is running (in about 3 runs you will have most of the app ported)
this means you should get pentium-pro speed ... :)
