I tried the SYS(602,0) function to turn off screen bitmaps. It is on by default. This appears to solve the issues with the buttons' images, however, our forms have a gradient background that now goes blank (solid white) when switching applications and coming back. Also, the gradient effect in not a smooth transition of colors and there appears to be more "flickering" going on.

Our application looked much better in VFP6 than it does in VFP9. Any further ideas?
