Now that would be the ultimate in stupidity.

But other countries seem to have found a middle ground between 'turn the other cheek' and all out war, and their populations don't seem to be pressing for Bush-like actions.

You remember that the world was fully behind the Afghanistan war because reasonable efforts were made to get hold of the self-confessed designers of the 9/11 attacks before war was undertaken.

With "attacks" in Spain and the UK and Morrocco and Turkey and Indonesia and... it is quite clear that it is not only the U.S. that is "in the crosshairs" of the Jihadists. Why is it, then, that of those places only the U.S. sees fit to attack other nations and endorse torture of captives?

By the way, are you including busses and trains because they happened to friendly nations so it's like they happened to the U.S.?
