In attempting to avoid DLL hell, i am looking into building an InstallShield setup routine that installs & registers 3 DLLs (required by Mabry's FTP/X control) into my program folder (not the windows/system folder).

Anyone know if this presents a problem if other versions (newer / older) of the DLLs already exist and have been registered on the machine in the windows/system folder? Would a program expecting a different version of OLEAUT32.DLL (for example) encounter a problem if there were 2 references to OLEAUT32 in the windows registry?
