In effect, powerful machines could be concentrated only into two: Back-End Server & Middle-Tier Server, although the more powerful the client machines are the better but not required.
I guess we're going a different direction at my agency, where C/S and tiered solutions are at a disadvantage. We're going with industrial-strength workstations, and moving from Win95 to NT soon...However, when local SQL Server comes out, that may work into our plans...
