Thank you for your help. I'll consider how views may help. However, Combo boxes are always slow when the rowsource is a table, alias, or view with thousands of records. I found a knowledge base article that directly address my problem (Q155015 - "How to build a custom Combo Box"). The article confirms the limitations on Combo box application.
