Listen up, Johnny, and listen good. . .

To date I have been "polite" in my contacts with you.

Yes, *I* am the person who SUGGESTED that Hungarian was retrograde in VFP. So what the hell does that have to do with any of this??? And what makes you so sure that it is so widely "accepted" as a BAD IDEA??? It was public and it was a judgement. But it was NOT a pronouncement nor an axiom. People were encouraged to think about it and to choose one way or the other.
That you even feel that this mgiht have an iota of relevance here, by the way, simply shows that you cannot and will not participate in cool, reasoned discussion - you stoop to (what you believe to be) insult to sell your position!

The *main* subject here is ADO. Oddly, I took your counsel and said I would reserve judgement, then comes you RANT above! In my prior to Mr. Lucas I had said that I was blissfully unaware of the technicalities and so was paying attention whenever I came across something IN ORDER TO LEARN MORE.

No, I don't have the SDK, nor do I subscribe to MSDN (or whatever it is called). I buy products (MS or otherwise) and rely on the documentation there (unfortunately, augmented by third party stuff in too many cases). You may find that poor product documentation is perfectly acceptable, because it helps you make a living selling your books, but for many of us it represents an INCOMPLETE product when you have to buy additional documentation to supplant a product's original documentation!

You seem to feel that you are the only person here who can take a "business perspective". Well, buddy-boy, I once had a dpeartment where my Training budget was over $1 million, so I think I can say I know a little about a "business perspective". Get off your high horse before you fall off hurt your brain further!

Finally, YOU are the only person here to so quickly and so frequently state your personal integrity and CALL OTHER'S INTEGRITY INTO QUESTION. We're not all perfect, Johnny-boy, but most of us have miles more decorum than you can even dream of.

You obviously think very highly of yourself. You should wish that others felt even half as well! To say you are an a** would be an insult to donkeys everywhere.
