As a newbee I'm fiddling around in C# and want to achieve something very simple:
- populate a dropdownlist from a table (done)
- select a value from this (bound) dropdownlist
- use this value in a query

I guess I'm used to VFP where you can ask the value of a control but having gone through all the properties of the control in C# I have a headache trying to figure out what the selected value (shown on screen is). Can anybody help me out on this? What property do I need to look at to determine the value that I see on the screen?
