Going off the top of my head, the House of Representatives prepares, debates and votes on articles of impeachment. The Senate then holds a trial on those articles. If the Senate convicts, the President is removed from office. That's never happened to the President.

There are other officials subject to impeachment, but I have no idea what the history is there.
