Of course I know what VB is, and what it's like (I even did a "learn yerself VB" CD from MS once). At the moment I'm programming in MapBasic, a Basic superset for running MapInfo (GIS) applications. It's the same language as VB - but sadly without the "V" - so I have to resort to 1st principles for building dialogues etc., needing to program every control. When I applied to AmEx years ago, though, I had no Basic (except what I'd done on a Commodore Pet!)

Ouch! I feel for you. I didn't even know that time existed. Bet you're a barrel of laughs down the pub at night :-)
