>>If/when China decides to invade another country, they'll do it with 1,000,000 troops. A loss rate of 50% will be "disappointing", but there are plenty more troops to replace them. You need to consider who is capable of standing up to that.

Therein lies the entire problem! Had we won the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people then we would not have had to attack them to “show them the light”. Where were those flowers that Rumsfeld said the Iraqi’s would throw at our feet as we liberated them?

Oh that is right – the administration knows all about how to win the hearts and minds of the people of Iraq!

Rumsfeld sees Fallujah battle as the way to win Iraqi hearts and minds.

You do not win hearts and minds with bullets and bombs.

Oh and by the way if you want more troops on the ground do not tell anyone. Remember General Tommy Franks? He was the commander of the Iraq invasion and slated to be the next Army Chief of Staff. He asked for more men and suddenly “retired”. Never allow your thoughts to be known if you are in a high place.

Operation Iron Hand, Operation Iron Fist, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Iron Promise, etc. What great names for people to love and remember us by!
