Takes me 30 mins to go 12 miles along the coast road, at 9-5 hours, through sleepy suburban conurbation, but 5 mins of that is spent at one set of traffic lights, that give priority to those coming the opposite way, into the city, a journey that takes 60 mijns for those 12 miles.

But we're talking here single carriageway, not 6-lane B52 landing strips like you have. :-)
