Hi all

I was trying to install VS2005 C# Express (2.8MB), but I am required to install IE6SP1 another 60-70MB or so of download.

Even if I download and install I won't be using it, if there are OCX/DLL/etc. that is needed for VS2005 then can anyone point me to the same. Hopefully that should have a reduced download size.

Hi,

What I understand why it requires IE6SP1 on your C# installation is that most of the web forms you'll be creating with C# for web apps requires this for better output, e.g. rendering/displaying the web pages..

Just wondering why you want to still use Ms Technologies for your web apps/desktop app when you junk its browser. I think you really believe that firefox is more secure than IE. I dont think its really more secure, its defends on the user what settings they applied to their browser or what site they visits.. There's no such web browser thats really secure.

Dont you know that Firefox consumed much mem resources than IE?

What I suggest is, If you dont want to install IE6SP1, dont install C# 2005.. :) :)

Peace!!! Nothing personal here...
