How is the supply of flu vaccine out your way? We have had many opportunities to get a flu shot as announced by many facilities in my area. Then the day the shots are to be given it is announced: "Canceled – no vaccine". Our doctor cannot find where you can get a flu shot.

Imagine if the “bird flu” hits us? There will be no problem recognized by the administration. Just a lot of body bags.

>>>Best wishes to the troops and vetrans on Remembrance/Armistice/Vetrans Day for doing a job that is dangerous and often thankless.

>> At 5 A.M. on Monday, November 11, 1918 the Germans signed the Armistice, an order was issued for all firing to cease; so the hostilities of the First World War ended. In November of 1919, President Woodrow Wilson issued his Armistice Day proclamation. Armistice Day celebrated this event and the name was changed to Veteran’s Day.
>>
>>The name was changed to Veterans' Day by Act of Congress on May 24, 1954. Rather then celebrate the end of World War I, Veteran’s Day celebrates the sacrifices of all those who fought so gallantly, and through rededication to the task of promoting an enduring peace.
>>
>>Something that I remember about this period of history is that my granduncle and grandmother died of the Spanish Influenza. Both left behind three children. So many people in his/her early 20’s died of this flu.
>>
>>As a veteran I have never been given this day as a holiday. However, my son, daughter and wife have it off each year. It all depends upon where you work and whom you work for! :)
