The DF-31 missile and JT-2 missiles are worrisome. Your own friends in the military should know this as all military personnel memorize the weapons of other nations (at least ours do).

The U.S. has 2,2000 - the amount agreed to in the SORT Treaty in 2002 with Russia. China actually has an unknown number, but they DO have them.

FAS is the federation of american scientists and they agree that China has DF-5A missiles which would actually reach 13,000 km.

Here is a list from wikipedia, but I think is is a generally accepted list.
DF-3 - cancelled. Program name transferred to a MRBM.
DF-4 (CSS-3) - silo, 7,000km range
DF-5 CSS-4 - silo, 12,000km range (replaced now with DF-5A 13,000km)
DF-6 - cancelled
DF-22 - cancelled by 1995.
DF-31 CSS-9 - silo and road mobile, 8,000km range (DF-31A 10,000km)
DF-41 CSS-X-10 - in development.

>The US has in excess of 10,000, China less than 400. Given this huge imbalance in numbers and technology, I doubt any could reach the US. Who knows if any of the Chinese weapons are even ICBM's. Unlikely, since they have just learned how to put a humans into orbit. They didn't figure this out themselves, this was done via purchaseing or reverse enginering Russia technology.
