On 2 occasions over the years, MS asked me to send reports on some VFP stuff I was involved in- the most recent request was from RG. On both occasions I spent a fair bit of time compiling material. The end. No acknowledgement, no communication, nothing. A peer who did a simple railways app using Access(!) was seriously wooed by the local MS and got plenty of free press. Figure it out.
IMHO MS will continue to publish techo stuff in public and cautious good-news stories where Joe Public is unlikely to see them, like on the VFP site.
This isn't a "whinge", it is an observation that is backed with facts.

yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act

piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
