I have an application supported with an traditional .chm Help File.

Every screen has a Help button that links in to an appropriate topic of the Help File.

I have this application on about 100 computers and it works properly on about 80 out of 100. The problem I am having on the 20 computers is that the Help file does not launch at all when the Help Button is clicked. I can launch the Help File file by double clicking on the .chm file in the Windows Explorer. And even when the Help file is open and minimized on the Task Bar, nothing happens when I click on any of the Help Buttons.

All my clients are schools who need to keep certain applications open to access their board support sites. I have tried closing down every application but the Board Support Sites and the Help still doesn't invoke.

Most of the applications that are failing are on Windows XP, but I have tested this on other XP machines and it works fine.

If anyone else has come across this problem, I would be pleased to hear from you.
