My point is that of course Podheretz is biased - and so is Evan. Does that mean Evan's conclusions are also suspect?

Podheretz is excessively devoted to the ideals of politico-economic freedom, religious freedom, and defending a nation against aggressors. If that's biased, I'm sure he'd wear that label proudly.
