>On ths issue of web access : We have a large VFP database and front end which we install with users. We would like to split this by putting the database on our web server and developing a VFP front end and install that only with the user. Any suggestions ? Can you cc a copy of your Thread reply to bfanet@solo.pipex.co.za ?

If you want to use a Visual FoxPro front end to access a remote server than you don't necessary need a Web server at the backend.

If you want to access the Web from Visual FoxPro, you will need an HTML OCX that you'll plug in a form.

If you want to access the data on a remote Novell server, in another location for example, then you may consider to do socket programming. If you have the configuration for, you may also consider mapping the remote drive so you can access the data by using Client/Server.

If depend on what you need.
