>Yes for, as we call it, "terrestrial TV" (as opposed to satellite or cable). It's just a BBC thing. There were people who argued that they'd detuned their TVs so BBC couldn't be received but this didn't wash. We now have what's called "Freeview" whereby you buy a digital terrestrial receiver (DTR), for under $80 which gives you free unlimited access to 4 BBC TV channels, 2 BBC kids' channels, and a host of other independant commercial channels. I personally see no need for cable or sat (there aren't enough hours in the day to watch all that!)

I pay over $60 USD a month for ComCast Cable, just so my wife can get the LifeTime Movie channel. The poor lady, it is all she wish to watch. Even though some of the movies are not that bad, I wish they would have more then the same 50 (?) movies they play.

>BTW, you guys seen the BBC/HBO "Rome" series yet? It only started a few weeks ago here but I heard that it didn't go down too well in the US?

I have not seen it yet. But, as I said in the prior statement, if it is not on the LifeTime channel chances are I will not.
