I don't follow what you mean by 'bring it back'? When a menu item is selected, the menu is disabled until the action involved in the selection finishes. The menu is then reactivated. I know this is not the windows way but we copied the bahavior of our DOS program to keep users happy.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
