>I've seen on local TV here, late September, that people were expressing mistrust in Red Cross. I guess the propaganda was catapulted properly.

First I've heard of that. They have a great rep here, and it's the first organization I think of to send money to.

Don't know if you've heard of it, but there's a mega-church that recently rented a stadium/conference center here (long story, bad deal IMHO for the city). Lakewood Church. They can cram 16,000 of the faithful into this building, and still run out of room. Anway, I found it very curious that when everyone here was bending over backwards to help the victims of Katrina, they were conspicuously quiet about any assistance they intended to offer. But the news was full of stories regarding the RC, its volunteers, and the great work they were doing at the Astrodome.

>But then what if lower level governments do something different? What does that mean for someone living in their jurisdiction? That they're living in a legal limbo where one set of principles applies at one level and another one at the other level?

Local, county, state, and federal governments step on each other's toes all the time. That's when it goes to the courts to get straightened out.

Sometimes I wonder.

>Right - my wife probably misheard the thing on the NPR. So, ID is in, evolution is not out (yet).

This one's going to go to the courts, you watch.
