Is there a way to tell if a table with a memo field has a valid FPT file?

What I'm worried about is that the client will not realize that an FPT is corrupt or does not match the table until after they've made additions to it. It appears that VFP will not complain about an invalid FPT file UNTIL you try to select display the contents of a memo field.. then if the reference is not found in the FPT it will give you an error that the FPT field is invalid.

However, it will let you make additions to an FPT file without complaining, so conceivably, you could add new data to a table's memo field and VFP would happily add it to an invalid FPT file.

What I want to do is each time a user selects a table with an FPT file, make sure that it is valid so they won't make additions to it that might end up being lost at some point.
