>The CABuilder9 is only for VFP9 as I incorporated the new CA features in VFP9. I still have the CABuilder for VFP8. Do you want that one e-mailed to you?
Mark,
We're working with VFP9 now. But I have some CA classes build originally with the version 8. Comparing the code between the latest version and the previous version I see that they are quite different. The original was using Init method and the new version is using some other method.
I also have to re-create my _cabase class and add Error method as I had it before and cDatabase property. Still I was having problems in my non-local testings. So, together with my colleague Jim we just added code in before_ca_init method to set database to the database specified in cDatabase. Now it seems to work fine.
I will definitely like to have your new builder and hopefully I would not need to re-create my _caBase class.
So far, they work. Fingers crossed.
Also yesterday I have to change my auto-generated CA for one of the classes (I posted a thread here, nobody responded, but I solved the problem anyway). I had to include _pk field in InsertCMD and FieldsList. Otherwise the table updated PK by itself and I was unable to use this PK in the child tables.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
