I found this exerpt interesting: "Whereas Swedes get more than thirty paid days off work per year and even the Brits get an average of twenty-three, Americans can hope for something between four and ten, depending on where they live."
I'm not sure where the numbers come from, but I thought the average for Americans was more like 8 to 12 holidays, and then 2 weeks vacation (or personal time off). All which is paid for by the employer. I get about 5 weeks vacation and 10 holidays, which is 30 paid days off per year. I'm pretty much the average in my company, having been here 3 years.
