Good morning Walter;

Mark Twain was truly a great writer! You can call his writing satire or whatever word seems appropriate. I have followed his life through every book, document, film (Public Broadcasting) and any possible source related to him. He was truly an interesting human being.

Part of Mark Twain’s life was spent in Carson City, Nevada and San Francisco (my home). You will find signs from Carson City to San Francisco that even today say, “Mark Twain was here”!

Did Mark Twain express reverence for establishment? No, he defined reverence for what it truly is. :)

Just one thought from “Letters from the Earth” which I read thirty years ago:

If God truly loved mankind, why did he save the fly in the Great Flood? He then goes on to define what diseases the fly is responsible for!

>From the wikipedia, I already got a failry good impression of what kind of man he was. In short, a man, who had the courage to disregard customs and looked at the stupidity in the world. These are the kind of persons I admire: Beeing able and having the courage to stand up and say what he thinks needs to be said. Not as an act to get personal fame out of it, but just following his heart.
