I applaud your efforts to pop the contents of a memo field to your user while they navigate your grid. I do not know the circumstance of your project. But my job on this board is to advocate against using a grid as an editor unless it is best served and simple (like a table converting linear units to volumn units).

Also - if it is an on the fly grid (columns not defined in code, but by the cursor structure) - it would be difficult.

Instead, I suggest an form that includes edit controls for each column of the grid. As the user navigates to a row, the contents of a memo field are "dumped" to an edit box control.
