>I was wanting to change a system over to ReportBehavior 90, but the report I was working on took 30 seconds to generate, whereas before it was nearly instantaneous. This is not the time to process the data and create the table that is reported on. This is just the time it takes from the REPORT FORM call until I see the report previewed. It goes through two phases that take a little over 30 seconds total. Is this common? This is a heavy penalty to pay, IMHO. It's about 30 times slower than the original report. Imagine an environment where there was a lot of reporting going on. Wow. You'd have the users at your throat. So far I've used the new behavior sparingly because of the problem where the text it generates is a little wider than before and therefore fields on tight reports could get cut off or numbers are changed to asterisks. With a performance penalty like this added to that problem, who'd want to make a wholesale changeover?
