It is too bad they can't, considering how many people have digital cable or satellite (though satellite does have a few technological problems).

I've been thinking and fairly well decided that the next generation PCs will be TV or mobile based, and that the old desktop and laptop form factor will largely fade away from the general public's view:

Since TiVo and Yahoo have started to work together I can't imagine it will be long before we primarily access the web from our mobiles or our cables boxes, DVRs, and game consoles, or a combination of all three which is only two years away from widespread adoption.
