Thats the way big enterprise solutions do it with VFP frontends - efiiciently scoped passthrough cursors.

I have retrieved cursors from MySQL on Linnux using SQLEXEC() through the desktop ODBC connection. THat worked well. I experiemented with ADO but could not retrieve a recordset. Never figured out why not.
