The Error No. 1709 also appears on some of my forms even though I am only using some remote views on the load event.

Use smartapprv!appsysconfig In 0 Alias appsysconfig Connstring connhandle

The error is not consistent, it only occurs from time to time. I will try what you suggested and see if the error will still appear.
