Well, that was Alan who mentioned the international law, not me. I mentioned the part on "looking [exclusively] after their own interests".

Anyway, while I am no expert on international law, I think it would have been preferable to work in coordination with other nations, and especially with the United Nations, instead of doing everything on its own - against the recommendations of the U.N.

Also: Giving false pretexts for starting a war is quite cleary a war crime. While some people here claim that Bush didn't really know, I find that very doubtful.
