>>I'd vote for making the word 'Republican' to mean corrupt, narrow minded, bible belt and hypocritism .

>And you'd be wrong.

The question is how more wrong is this compared your definition of liberal ???

>>Because this liberal beating is ridiculous. Sure, no side is innocent of anything, but using the word liberal as a name calling in itself is really where civilisation stops.

>What, us conservatives don't have the right to defend ourselves?

Ehh, who did attack who? The republicans made an art of making the word 'Liberal' thrown totally out of context. This is something the republican party did, with mudthrowing on you totally corrupt media using all kinds of discusting techniques (RATS).

>Personally I think liberalism is simple-minded, a naive viewing of the world through idealistic lenses. That's my view, and I'll argue it until the cows come home with anyone that cares to, provided we can have a reasoned discussion. But the name-calling the left has engaged in since Bush's first election is despicable, and frankly, I'm tired of it.

Eh, who did practise name calling in the first place? And yes, I'm tired of it too.

>Three years ago, I was in Germany for the conference, and a speaker (whom I previously had great respect for) attacked me viciously for my support of Bush. I was dumbfounded, and it basically ruined the evening for me.

I'm not aware of who it was, but you'll find this a lot accross europe. Most of the europeans just don't like bush, because he lives in a total different world than ours.

>>I'm getting sick of this mentality. As far as I'm concerned anyone who supports such narrow minded thinking has the same IQ and moral values of the person who you think is your president: The IQ of a peanut....

>I won't comment on the rest of that paragraph. Your disdain for anyone that doesn't hold to your views is what's narrow-minded. And your "holier-than-thou" attitude towards America I've commented on before.

No I did not say this. I'm simply saying that anyone with this kind of narrow minded thinking.... I dont agree with a lot of other standpoints, but this is still a different standpoint than having respect. I disagree with quite a few people on development techniques, but that does not say I don't have any respect for them.

>>Maybe you should go on a trip through europe and ask in every european country what they think of President Bush and americans in general. You'll be surprised of what about half a billion voices have to tell about the US. I'd say: Grow up!! All seemed to be much better under clinton.

>And again, you'd be wrong. I don't get to vote in Holland; don't you dare tell me how to vote in my country.

I did not tell you how to vote.

>Frankly, I don't give a flip how things are done on a continent that has twice spawned global warfare in the last century.

I don't see what the hell that has to do with it?
