If you just recompile in VFP 9, then your reports will continue to print using the VFP 8 report behavior (since that's the default) and you will see no difference at all. If you do more than simply recompile - specifically, add a SET REPORT BEHAVIOR 90 statement - then you will notice two things:

1) Text is rendered slightly wider, so some numeric fields on reports may start displaying asterisks because the number is now wider than the field.

2) It may take longer to generate the report and so it will be longer before the user can see it in preview mode or before it comes out of the printer.

But, of course, there are some nice benefits, so it's just a matter of testing with each report and deciding which report behavior to use with them.
