Well I've really done it now.

I'm making a bunch of reports with Crystal Reports. The reports are very similar, so I'm doing the obvious thing and just copying the reports and making appropriate mods to the copy of the report. I copy the original file using the Solution Explorer and paste the copy back in. The copy is automatically named "Copy of ...". I rename the copy file and start hacking.

The first copy of the original came out fine.

When I made a copy of the copy something very strange happened. I got an error about the "Copy of Copy of ..." file. Hmm. Now I did something very dumb. I exited .Net and manually deleted the "Copy of Copy of ..." file.

Now I get an error message: "Unable to open module file ..."
and two warnings:
"The custom tool 'CrystalDecisions.VSShell.CodeGen.ReportCodeGenerator' faild while processing the file 'Balanc_Outstanding_All.rpt' (this is the original from which the copies were derived) and
"The custom tool 'CrystalDecisions.VSShell.CodeGen.ReportCodeGenerator' faild while processing the file 'Service_History_Client.rpt' (this is the first copy-file).

Clearly, I've done something very bad.

How can I fix this?

TIA,
Thom C.
