I think the most common I've heard is "cig" or "smoke." If a friend of mine asked for a "ciggy," I might have to have a talk with him. Just sounds wrong somehow.

>We say "wet" as well. And we DO have cigarettes. I guess your equiv. of "fag" is a "butt" (though that too has similar connotations :-) We also say "ciggy" which I think I've heard Americans say. A butt also here usually means the "dog-end" of a ciggy, but you also say "You got a butt, ?", meaning a whole ciggy.
