Americans love short descriptive terms to describe anything. Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld has a different approach.

The Pentagon's long struggle over how to describe the war in Iraq moved to new ground Tuesday as Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said he wants to retire the term "insurgents" in favor of "enemies of the legitimate Iraqi government."

All right everyone repeat after me. “Enemies of the legitimate Iraqi government” were seen today. Yes, that is so poetic! It has a nice ring to it. In fact it has a formality that justifies our presence in Iraq.

Where might we see the "enemies of the legitimate Iraqi government?” Why you might look in the mirror and see one. After all, if you are not a supporter of the war in Iraq, you must not be a patriot.
