Chung,
You should really post this in UT's .NET section.

I am fairly sure that VFP data engine can not run under the PPC (Pocket PC) OS. I think you are limited to using SQL CE or store your data as XML on the PPC.

>I've been developing my first .net handheld application. The plan is to use Pocket PC 2003 as platform, C#(from .net 2005) as dev. tools and vfp dbf as database.
>However, when I add a datasource to the project, it says "the new connection uses a data provider that is not supported".
>The detailed step:
>Add a BindingSource control to project
>Push "Add Project Data Source" in DataSource property
>In Configuration Wizard, choose "Database", then next
>Push New Connection
>Select .Net Framework Data Provider for OLEDB as DataSource
>Select Microsoft OLEDB provider for Visual Foxpro as Provider
>Select a dbc in data links (Test connection says succeed at this stage)
>Then I push OK and the error raised...

>I've worked on another Windows application before, used C# to connect to dbf via oledb, havn't met this situation.
>Is it dbf not supported in pocket pc apps or have I done something wrong? Thanks in Adv.
