Did you watch any of the "Rome" series on HBO? Wow, great stuff. In one sense it was a lurid melodrama but it inspired me to go back and read some of the real history. It wasn't until the last episode that I realized Octavian, a kid in the show, would go on to become Augustus Caesar. And the end of the next to last episode -- Pullo, the emotional core of the show -- bloody but unforgettable. 13!
