One memorable interview I had was here, but in the boonies. It was about a 45 minute drive to the interview, in the middle of the day. Add another 30 minutes for rush hour. So I wasn't too interested from the getgo. But it was the first interview I've ever been on where they specified that the candidate should have an outgoing personality, so I was curious.

I ended up getting there a little early, right when lunch hour was starting. It looked like I was watching some horror movie. Everyone coming out to leave for lunch looked like a zombie. I sat there in my car and watched for about 15 minutes.

I went in and talked to the head programmer for a while. I finally asked him why he listed personality in the ad. He stated it was because there was no on in the department with any sort of personality, so he thought it would be a good trait to add.

I almost bit thru my tongue trying not to laugh when he said that.

>Very well said. And as I stood to applaud, I spilled my Doritos and root beer on my keyboard, and lost my connection to my Day-Trader. ;)
