Never heard of ammo boots - surprisingly. I wore combat boots for years and years and after they are broke in, they are very comfortable. Especially jungle boots which I wore in Panama. Taking care of combat boots is a pain though. :o) I like tennis shoes the most of course, but also like hiking boots with high arches for the support they provide. Periodically I get a sore back from old army back injuries. By the way, what is a keck?

>>Why do some organizations (mine is one) require women to wear pantyhose with skirts and dresses?

>I think that's terrible, Tracy. If I were in charge it would be stockings & suspenders, with a nice airy comfortable split up one side of the skirt :-)

>I don't think that's the case in the UK (well I've never knowingly encountered it) but it does sound like a case of sex discrimination.

>>Even long skirts and dresses. Also, open toed shoes are typically not allowed for safety purposes, but in an office enviroment what's up with that?

>>It is much easier to find a comfortable pair of mens shoes that can be worn with slacks than it is to find an equally comfortable pair of womens shoes to wear with slacks. I've often considered wearing mens shoes with slacks for comfort and then waiting to see if anyone complains :o)

>Over here women can wear kecks and whatever shoes they want. From your posts that I've read I'd imagine you'd only be comfortable in fatigues or KDs, and ammo boots (why ARE they called ammo boots BTW?)
