Thanks. I should have mentioned that my grid is on a form class (.vcx), not on a regular form. I don't know if I can adjust the DE. For some reason, the relationship doesn't work when I set the ControlSources and RecordSource from the grid's properties, but it does work when I set them programmatically from the form's Init method. Now, I have to figure out why setting a grandchild relationship causes the record pointer to go to the eof, even though the keys match in all of the records.
BTW, I like the quotes that you put at the end of your message. On the side, I perform one-liner stand-up comedy.
