Folks,
I have been more active here in tha last couple of weeks than I have been for a while. More than one person has asked what I've been up to and why I haven't been around. I thought the easiest way to answer would be to start this thread in chatter and give you some of the details.
A few years back I took a full time employment position with eMedicine.com, Inc. and changed from independent consulting. That put a major crimp in my "free" time to spend on the forums. Working 10-12 hour days did not leave a lot of time to surf. So I became scarse. I still lorked a lot but didn't spend time responding to questions.
At eMedicine I am working heavily with VFP, .NET, ASP, and a bunch of other technologies building and supporting the software that runs a company that authors and publishes medical content on the net and hand held devices.
In 2003 I had major heart surgery which put me out of commission for a few months. This caused me to alter my travel activities so I stopped hitting most of the conferences and was spending more time at home with my family. I still work for eMedicine full time and am becoming physically more healthy.
Recently I have started to spend more time here on the UT and on the fox wiki, mostly reading and lurking but occasionaly responding when I have something to say. I expect to be around more than I have been from now on.
So that's the short and sweet version of what has been happening to me oveer the last few years.
