It's a condenscending way to address others about you. It's childish.

The rules are here not for the moderator, but for the users, including me. If I feel insulted by certain remarks made by another user, then first I will try to make this clear to that person, and if that doesn't help the moderator can still be asked to intervene. That's all.

I'm not sure he broke any rules, because no one will tell us what the "little finger" comment means.
