Hi,
You can just swap drives if the hardware is the same, but not if it isn't, the license is locked to the hardware.

Anyway I always do a full reinstall on Workstations as it gets rid of all the stuffups on the old machine.

I have a faster server now, and would like to transfer the hard drives to the new server without having to reinstall and set up everyting again. A simple installation of the drives in the new server causes both Win2000 and Win2003 to not boot complaining about new hardware. Is there a tool such as ghost that will allow the complete hard drive to be transfered between the two servers?
