Well, if a client´s LAN or data server can't be trusted to work as it should, maybe they should fix those problems, instead of having me change to way an app works to cope with that.

That reminds me of clients complaining of their FOX tables getting trashed when the electricity failed, and asking that the app should be able to deal with it.

For God´s sake, get a UPS, I will not change the app to flush after each and every change to the tables or keep opening and closing tables as fast as I can, just because you dont feel like spending a couple of bucks in a UPS that can give you at least 5 minutes to close the app properly.

I never had to deal with WANS, but I think in that case I think I would be more careful about checking the connection before each update.
