Good for you, here we cannot claim much of taxes back at the end of the year. In my case none. And I am only person working in my family,
supporting wife & 3 kids. We get symbolic amount monthly as alowance for chilldren and that is it.

Whole tax system is prety harsh on employee type of money earner.
We cannot hide anything, while you have Doctors and Lawyers
(self employed) declaring half of my yearly income or or even less,
while they are making in fact little fortunes every year ...

Medical cover is not provided by all companies, so up to few years
back I had to pay for all our medical expences (hence 3 kids).
There is public hospital 'free of charge', but trust me, you don't wanna go there. So we hv to go visit my taxpayer-buddy doctors, paying them cash on spot for every visit. (See statement above)

BTW Why would they declare all their taxes when that directly feeds competition ?

Yes Cyprus is in EU since last year, but that seem to cost much more
then it brings in. Everything got much (twice) more expensive, and standard
in fact dropped down.

Well at least human rights are at upswing now,
Free speech; You can complain as much & loud as you want!
